This a quick little tutorial about how to download mods for Cities Skylines without Steam! This will work for any version of the game! Subscribe For More: ht cities skylines how to install 11 most wanted mods just to let you know though this vid is old , so make sure to update your game then search for each mod again to use the most updated versions Put your mod into this folder: e.g. C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines\Files\Mods. THIS is the active game folder, online and also offline. Copy NOT into C:\Users\[hostname]\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Addons\Mods !!! In this Folder the mod does not work. Before copying check the mod for his last, functionally version. 1. Search a mod that you like in the workshop. 2. Click the subscribe button. The mod is being downloaded (most mods are only a couple of hunded kB in size, so it shouldn't take long. 3. Start Cities: Skylines. 4. Go to 'Content Manager' 5. Go to 'Mods' (left frame) 6. Look up the mod you downloaded and make sure it is enabled (tick the box) 7. - Open: Cities_Skylines > Addons > Mods (if "Mods" folder doesn't exist make a new folder with that name) Copy the folder inside of the .ZIP file and paste in inside "Mods" folder; Inside game, on Main Menu, click on Content Manager and in the Mods area, activate the mods you want to be playing with! The university halls that I am in blocks the ports that steam uses to operate, meaning that I have to play C:S in offline mode, however I can still access the internet fine and (seemingly) unrestricted. Is it possible to download assets and mods through a browser or must they be acquired through the workshop? not a problem, reason for that is I have just been uploading mods to steam workshop that I know fully work both in XXL and older versions. Pretty much all my mods uploaded here will work in all versions. only issue so far is a few won't show my transparent furniture objects, like balcony's etc. in XXL.
